I never usually pick up makeup without researching it first but this was a spur of the moment item, I was at Ulta and needed a new mascara and the packaging was sleek so I thought, why not. It turns out, I really like this mascara the brush is super small and skinny, making it easy to reach the inner lashes that I always miss. My lashes are very short and straight and this mascara significantly lengthened my lashes while holding a curl for the majority of the day. I have the regular formula and it came off with easy but also was not wet enough to rub off throughout the day. I wish be repurchasing this product in the future!

As most of you know, fashion week was recently and another big trend on the runways was accented ponytails. This is ideal for fall as many of us become busy with school or work. It makes for an easy but chic way to style your hair. The looks range from sleek slicked back ponytails, to braids, and even ones with added hair accents. Here are some ideas to incorporate into your own style this season.

Recently I have been loving Jeffrey Campbell. Many of you may be familiar with his popular shoe called the Lita bootie. Here is a showcase of some of my favorite designs.

As fall is soon approaching, some if us may be excited for the cooler weather and rainy days, while others of us aren’t willing to give up our summer quite yet. From military green and warm cranberry to a ballet pink and soft nude, this collection suits either taste. Fall 2011 color trends are neutrals and dulled colors which the collection compliments nicely. At about $8 a bottle essie can be found at stores such as Target or Ulta.

French Pressed Coffee is a divine thing to experience. Many people who have tried it highly favor it over the normal brewed coffee. It’s very simple and also more cost effective because you’re not using electricity and you won’t be wasting coffee because you make the exact amount you desire! Here is my quick guide to working a french press.

1. Grind your coffee of choice on course grind. 1.5oz of coffee for 20oz of liquid. (If you don’t have a fancy grinder your local coffee shop can usually do this for you.)

2. Fill your French Press with 20oz of HOT water (or your drink size of choice.)

3. Pour your grounds on top of the water and place the lid of the French Press on top, but remember not to press down yet.

4. Let your coffee steep for about 3-5 mins.

5. Make sure the top of your French Press is secure then press down slowly until all the grounds are at the bottom.

6. Now you are ready to pour your hot, freshly made coffee into your cup. Add your cream and sugar to your liking and you’re good to go!

Bonus Tip: Save your coffee grounds to mix into your garden soil, it contains great nutrients!

GOOD LUCK! :)

Two great trends in one! I’m loving the bootie trend that is going to be all over this fall and winter, along with Cheetah print. Animal print never goes out of style, but this fall/winter it’s going to be everywhere! I found these Steve Madden booties at nordstrom.com, for 149.95 and a reliable brand name, they’re a must have for this upcoming season!
